Thoughts direct us, but strength and true ability comes from habits. Habits not only inspire a man to walk in a particular direction, but many a times they compel him to mold the adverse circumstances and proceed. Let us take the example of an alcoholic. Even while knowing that liquor addiction destroys health, wealth and fame, the addicts are not able to give up and suffer the consequences. They go on thinking about giving up alcohol but are unable to do so because the power of habit is far more strong compared to that of mere thoughts. Not withstanding their harmful effects, habits are often so strong that there is no other option than to give in. Whether in a good or in a harmful life pattern, the contribution of habits in life is hardly ever comparable to any other contribution.
